On April 27 in Lienz
Lienz city center becomes a car show with a strolling feeling
The East Tyrolean Car Show in Lienz will take place for the 17th time on April 27. Eleven dealers present trends and answer questions. Interest in the event continues unabated, as does the demand for new vehicles.
It is already a tradition that has heralded the arrival of spring in the sunny town for years. This year's edition of the car show on April 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., has the motto "In the fast lane: where cars meet people". Anton Thum, representative of the East Tyrolean vehicle dealers, explains what is behind this: "We want to offer a platform where we can come to the customer and simply give them the opportunity to find out more."
As in previous years, eleven brand dealers will be exhibiting around 100 cars from around 20 brands from Johannesplatz to the lower end of the main square - from classic combustion engines to electric cars.
East Tyrol has a special position when it comes to mobility. With a third of the market share, petrol cars are still far ahead, while e-cars account for just under eleven percent. Added to this is the high proportion of cars, as Thum knows: "Due to necessity, we are highly mobilized and have more than 500 cars per 1,000 inhabitants. There are around 25,000 cars." Reason enough to turn the center of Lienz into an outdoor salon again.
