Innsbruckathlon: the city becomes an obstacle course

The purora Innsbruckathlon is back in the city when the Bergiselschanze outrun is transformed into a water slide and the Hofburg and the Landestheater are used for biking, scrambling and climbing. This year, it will take place on June 29.

More than 20 obstacles await the athletes who take on the ten-kilometer hurdle race through the entire city. Those who prefer the shorter version can also register for the five-kilometer run with around ten obstacles.

Everyone is welcome
Various starting windows allow professional athletes as well as beginners and amateur athletes to get to know the city at their own pace in a completely new way. The Innsbruckathlon is characterized by its colourful mix - last year, participants from eight to 69 years of age competed in the race.

Event for youngsters too
This year, it's the youngest athletes' turn on June 28, when the Junior Innsbruckathlon kicks off. A two-kilometre course with ten obstacles awaits the young athletes (aged 8 to 15). The same applies here as for the adult event: It's not just the competition that counts, but above all the fun factor and reaching the finish line together. This is because the obstacles are much easier to overcome as a group than individually.

There are therefore special offers for teams: Groups of six or more receive a 25 percent discount on the current entry fee, and a group of five saves the entry fee for a starting place. For groups of six or more children, the entry fee is only 20 euros per person.

When registering, the earlier the better, as the entry fee jumps on April 8!
