New bus from Reutte to Innsbruck on Sunday
The Verkehrsverbund Tirol (VVT) has fulfilled a long-held wish of home-schooled pupils and introduced an additional bus connection from Reutte to Innsbruck on Sundays.
From May 1st, a new Sunday evening connection will be introduced on the regional bus route 160X from Reutte to Innsbruck. This VVT direct bus offers an additional connection at the weekend between the district of Reutte and the Inntal valley, which is particularly popular with home-schooled students from the Außerfern region.
Many pupils and students have requested an additional connection on Sunday evenings.

On Sundays and public holidays, the bus departs Innsbruck at 4.40 pm and arrives in Reutte at 6.35 pm. The return journey from Reutte to Innsbruck departs at 7.40 pm, arriving in Innsbruck at 9.35 pm. "We are always happy to receive constructive and practicable suggestions for improving public transport," says René Zumtobel, Member of the Provincial Council for Mobility, "many pupils and students have requested an additional connection on Sunday evenings."
Connecting bus waits longer
There will be a further improvement to the connecting bus service in Imst during the week from April: From April 1, the Regiobus departing from Imst/Pitztal station at 22:25 will wait up to 40 minutes if the Railjet (RJX 760) with a scheduled arrival time of 22:20 at Imst/Pitztal station is delayed. Previously, the timetable allowed a maximum waiting time of 15 minutes.
Zumtobel also promises to further expand the direct bus connections during the week by the end of the year.
