Drunk driver rams into car as wrong-way driver
A serious traffic accident on Wednesday morning at the St. Michael highway junction in Upper Styria: A 24-year-old Styrian drove in the wrong direction under the influence of alcohol. As a wrong-way driver, he rammed into the car of a 19-year-old Croatian woman a little later.
A night-time operation for the St. Michael, Traboch and Madstein-Stadlhof fire departments: A 24-year-old from the Graz-Umgebung district drove the wrong way onto the highway at the St. Michael junction shortly after 3 a.m. and crashed into the car of a 19-year-old Croatian woman as a wrong-way driver.
Alcohol test positive
Both the woman and the Styrian were injured in the accident and had to be taken to hospital. The 24-year-old tested positive for alcohol and will be reported to the police.
