The battle for the MotoGP world title between Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia will be decided this weekend. In the past, the favorites have not always been allowed to celebrate at the finale, as a look at the history books shows.

Only twelve laps could separate Jorge Martin from his first overall MotoGP victory. If the Spaniard wins the sprint in Barcelona on Saturday (3pm, live on ServusTV), he will enter the history books as the new world champion. From second place onwards, his team would have to pull out their calculators, but even 8th place could be enough.
