Suri Cruise celebrates her 18th birthday on April 18. However, the actress' daughter is said to have no contact with her dad Tom Cruise (61) and so Suri is also said not to have received a gift from her estranged dad. Instead, it is the other actress who has been looking forward to receiving presents from him on her special day for years.

Suri and Tom Cruise are said to have had no contact with each other for years. The Hollywood star's daughter is growing up with her mother Katie Holmes (45).

For her 18th birthday, which Suri celebrates on April 18, 2024, she is unlikely to receive a gift from her famous father, as insider reports claim that the two have not seen each other in person since 2012.

Instead, it is one of Cruise's fellow actresses who has been happy to receive regular gifts for years: Dakota Fanning (30)!

Cruise and Fanning filmed together for the movie "World of Wars", which premiered in 2005. At the time, Dakota was just eleven years old - and the undisputed star of every event with her beaming smile and cute poses. The sweet charm of the young actress also won Cruise over back then.

Fanning and Andrew Scott play the trivia quiz "All About Us" for "Harpar's Bazaar". Scott has to guess who gave his quiz partner her first cell phone. "It must have been a Hollywood icon," he ponders - and answers correctly: "Tom Cruise!"

"He sends me a birthday present every year"
"It was a 'Razr', a 'Motorola Razr'," Fanning recalls. "Oh my God, I was so excited. I didn't have anyone to call or text back then, you know, I was eleven," she laughs. And continues: "But I loved owning it! It made me feel so cool."

When asked whether she was still in contact with the actor today, she replied: "Tom sends me a birthday present every year, he has done since then," Fanning revealed. Cruise didn't let himself down on her special birthday in February either: "I got a birthday present for my 30th. So thoughtful, yes, really very nice." However, she did not reveal what exactly she received this year.

Dakota Fanning has been a star in Hollywood since she was a child. She celebrated her breakthrough in 2001, when the then up-and-coming actress landed one of the leading roles in the film "I am Sam". Since then, Fanning has not only been a fixture at events and red carpets, but apparently also on Cruise's gift list - which probably doesn't even include his own daughter.
