With a test driver's license
Viennese (19) raced across highway at 196 km/h
Another extreme speeding driver has been taken off the road in Lower Austria. The Viennese (19) raced along the A1 at a whopping 196 km/h on Wednesday. This means he has lost his probationary driving license for the time being.
The 19-year-old probably didn't care that only 130 km/h is actually permitted on the Westautobahn (A1). Because he was speeding at almost 200 km/h in the direction of Vienna near Purkersdorf (St. Pölten-Land district). A plainclothes patrol quickly noticed the speeding driver and noticed the increased speed.
Driver reported
The officers immediately followed the car and stopped it. The 19-year-old's probationary driving license was temporarily confiscated. The Viennese will be reported to the St. Pölten district authority, the Lower Austrian police announced in a press release on Thursday.
Speeding regulation since March 1
If he had exceeded 200 km/h, his car might even have been taken away from him. This is because since March 1, speeding vehicles can be confiscated on the spot and subsequently auctioned off.
