FPÖ-NÖ: “EU is a planned economy madhouse”

Lower Austria's Deputy Governor and FPÖ leader Udo Landbauer is clear in an interview on krone.tv: "Leonore Gewessler is committing multiple breaches of the law because she is postponing and not implementing road construction projects that are included in the Federal Roads Act and which she should be executing."

The people of Lower Austria are thus being punished. She will no longer be part of the next federal government, but we have lost a lot of time." The next transport minister in a federal government with FPÖ participation would implement these projects, such as the Marchfeld expressway S8 or the Lobau tunnel, as quickly as possible, according to Landbauer.

When it comes to the thinning out of ÖBB services, Lower Austrian Transport Minister Landbauer is very displeased: "This is extremely unpleasant. However, ÖBB is currently unable to provide the service in accordance with the transport services contract. The tax money from our side will therefore not flow. I'm just saying, if we were to pay for 100 trains, but only 50 are running, then we will only pay for 50."

EU plans cold expropriation
The EU does not come off well with the head of the FPÖ-NÖ either. The background to this are possible future EU controls of domestic used cars, which it could disqualify as environmentally harmful old cars and remove from circulation: "This would not just be a control, but proof that the EU is developing into a socialist, planned-economy madhouse. The point is that cold expropriation is taking place here. The EU Commission's proposal states that vehicles may no longer be repaired if brakes and steering elements are extremely worn. So please, these are wearing parts, they used to be repaired. And that should then lead to these used cars being declared as end-of-life vehicles more quickly and repairs being banned. And we must not allow that to happen."

If the FPÖ already had more say in the EU, Landbauer would "abolish these absurdities". According to the FPÖ leader, this also includes the watt limit for vacuum cleaners, banana curvature, cucumber curvature and much more. That may sound funny, but according to Landbauer, it is frightening.
