Safety for children
The fight for crosswalks finally successful!
Years of fighting for a safety crossing have finally paid off: a crossing has been built on the main road in front of the secondary school in Lavamünd.
A blind bend and an extremely large number of trucks that do not adhere to the 50 km/h speed limit: The children at the secondary school in Lavamünd were previously exposed to these dangers without protection when they wanted to cross the main road to get to school. Because there was no safe crossing.
Successful fight for crosswalk
Concerned parents have been fighting for this for years. Together with the "Krone" initiative "Safe route to school". And their commitment has paid off. "The state has finally installed a crosswalk!" says local councillor Ingo Fischer with relief. "It was a tough fight, but we did it!" says Fischer, thanking everyone involved. The sidewalk is also to be completed. Signposts will be put up. They are intended to draw attention to the children.
