Young father Posch joins the ÖFB team late!

One player did not arrive in Marbella on Monday for the first team meeting of the Austrian national soccer team this year - and for good reason. Bologna legionnaire Stefan Posch became a father for the first time on Friday! 

His wife Lena and son Romeo only left hospital on Sunday. Team boss Ralf Rangnick therefore gave the 26-year-old Styrian an extra day off, confirmed an ÖFB spokesman. Posch is now not expected in the team camp until Tuesday.

Rangnick has nominated 26 men
The Austrians are preparing in southern Spain until Friday for the European Championship test matches against Slovakia in Bratislava on Saturday and against Turkey in Vienna the following Tuesday. Rangnick has nominated 26 men, with the exception of Posch, all of whom are fit and healthy according to the ÖFB on Monday.

David Alaba (cruciate ligament rupture) and Marko Arnautovic (muscle injury in thigh) are two big names missing through injury. However, both are due to meet up with the team in Vienna before the Turkey game.
