Tomato red tights have been declared the ultimate accessory of the season by trendsetters in the fashion industry. If you like it, you should try it out before the temperatures rise again to the point where you become too "hot".

Red, a color with a rich fashion history, from red nails to red lips to red shoes, has proven to be the perfect eye-catcher time and time again. The "Tomato Girl Summer" trend brought the hue into the internet spotlight in 2023, and now it's time for bright red legwear to take the stage.

It-girls and celebrities such as Valentina Ferragni, Kylie Jenner, Anya Taylor-Joy and Elle Fanning were spotted wearing red tights last year.

Street stylists at various fashion weeks have picked up on the trend, and Chloë Sevigny, the ultimate It girl, even graced the cover of British Vogue in February this year while wearing red tights.

A pro tip: the look with works best with a short skirt, shorts or under an open coat, jazzed up with a chain-like belt.
