Six years ago, German rapper Cro moved the center of his life to Bali. Here, the artist, whose five studio albums have all reached number one in the charts, appreciates the peace and quiet away from the media hype and tours: "I feel like a child here. I probably still am one. This place is like my mother's garden, bordered by meadows and mountains."

The singer with the Bali mask has now opened the doors to his paradise for the German magazine "AD Architectural Digest Germany" and given a little insight into how he lives there.

Cro found his home in Bali together with his brother Benno Waibel, who is also close to him professionally, reports the magazine.

"Casa Carlito"
From the very beginning, they wanted to create "Casa Carlito", as Cro jokingly calls his property, as a domicile that is also open to other artists.

Benno Waibel says: "Bali has become increasingly important for musicians, artists and DJs from all over the world. There is no better place where yoga, healthy food, sport and productive work can be combined so well."

Architect Alexis Dornier, who has already realized several residences in Bali and is very familiar with the local conditions and resources, was asked to consciously incorporate traditional elements into the architecture.

According to the report, he created a building that looks like a tree house and does not interfere too much with the existing topography. A fun area with a basketball court has been set up on one level of his house. "You feel like you're in an adventure playground that's constantly changing and always on the move," says Cro.
