Dog eats poisoned bait on a walk and dies

On Sunday in Götzis (Vorarlberg), a dog owner did not manage to pull her four-legged friend's find out of his mouth in time. The dog had found something edible on a walk in the "Unteres Tobel" area. Shortly afterwards, it showed symptoms of poisoning and died.  

After the death of her four-legged friend, the dog's owner filed a complaint with the police. The officers managed to seize several pieces of meat at the location. These are now being analyzed at the forensic institute.

Prepared bait
It is suspected that these were prepared baits intended to poison other dogs. The police do not yet have any leads on the perpetrator(s) and are appealing for information from the public.
