Schladming: Kick-off to the big ski opening

Around 10,000 fans celebrate Canadian rock superstar Bryan Adams at the ski opening in the Schladming-Dachstein region. Among the guests: ÖFB team boss Ralf Rangnick and Minister of Defense Klauda Tanner.

Just in time for the start of this year's ski opening in the Schladming-Dachstein region, Mrs. Holle shook scattered snowflakes onto the event area. In the Schladming Hohenhaus Tenne, host Hermann Egger welcomed an illustrious crowd of guests to the mayor's reception before the top concert with Canadian superstar Bryan Adams.

The man himself
Head of the village Hermann Trinker praised the tireless commitment of event organizer Klaus Leutgeb, who is increasingly turning the Styrian sports and nature region into a cultural region. In addition to a cake, there was also a commemorative plaque, which Leutgeb himself attached to the Tenne beam using a cordless screwdriver, much to the delight of the guests.

Among others, Minister of Defense Klaudia Tanner, Federal Police Director Michael Takács and ÖFB team boss Ralf Rangnick, who is spending the whole weekend in the region, were also clapping. Local hero Chris Steger ("Zefix") was a little nervous before his performance: "Bryan Adams is a living legend. Playing in front of him is a great honor." Adams himself flies on from Graz-Thalerhof Airport that night. Other celebrities prefer to hit the after-show runway.
