Residents were able to extinguish the fire in the house themselves

On Monday afternoon, a fire broke out in the utility room of a house on a farm in Faistenau. The homeowner discovered the fire and immediately alerted her husband, who immediately initiated extinguishing measures to prevent the fire from spreading further.

Thanks to their quick action, they managed to prevent the fire from getting worse. The local fire department arrived and used breathing apparatus to remove all the embers.

According to the fire investigators, a technical defect in a tumble dryer was probably the cause of the fire. No one was injured. The preliminary amount of damage is estimated to be in the five-digit euro range.

The Faistenau fire department was deployed with 4 vehicles and 35 men, supported by the police and Red Cross.
