KAC “Witcher” Dahm hasn’t been this hungry for a long time

KAC goalie Sebastian Dahm once again leads all statistics and is also a guarantee for success in the semi-final against Pustertal. After the 3:1 home win on Sunday, the Red Jackets have their first match puck today, Tuesday, in Bruneck - Postma's newborn daughter Piper should bring luck.

Only four goals conceded in the three semi-final duels! KAC goalie Sebastian Dahm is once again a great guarantee for success. In the third duel against Pustertal in Klagenfurt, he once again saved great South Tyrolean chances in the second period (including a solo goal by Akeson) and only allowed one goal. "The cooperation with the defense has been great all season. Now we've gone one better - the form is really good," said the 37-year-old Dane happily.

First in all statistics
The figures also show this: With a save percentage of exactly 93 percent, he is also tied with Salzburg's Tolvanen for first place in the play-offs and also has the lowest goals-against average at 1.56 per game. This could be partly due to the fact that he is more rested this year because of the forced break at the start of the season (he had an adductor injury) and only played 29 games in the basic round ('22/23 were an incredible 55 matches in total!): "I also feel really hungry this year and am fired up for success!"

Jensen Aabo with a top performance
His Danish compatriot, Jesper Jensen Aabo, should help him again today in Bruneck. The defender shone in the last home game, winning 73 percent of his duels in 25:48 (!) minutes of ice time, winning 14 pucks and only losing three. Together with Clemens Unterweger, he forms a terrific duo. In total, the South Tyroleans only managed five shots from the dangerous slot in front of the goal against the Red Jackets in game three.

"Want to end the series!"
Today, however, the ice time will be split more evenly again. Defenseman Paul Postma is back, his little daughter Piper (born on Saturday at the ELKI) should bring luck to the Red Jackets: "I'm happy that everything went well with the family. The boys have also done a great job - now it's all about finishing the series. Our injured players could do with a break." That includes Johannes Bischofberger, who was injured in the 3:1 home win and will probably be rested today. Fabian Hochegger will return to the squad in his place.

3:0 lead never went wrong
A 3-0 lead in the play-offs is definitely a very good cushion: the KAC has never blown this lead in ten cases since there have been "best-of-seven" series and has won five times directly in the fourth duel. . .
