Ländle-SPÖ backs Antonio Della Rossa

The city politician from Bludenz, Antonio Della Rossa, will be the SPÖ Vorarlberg's top candidate for the upcoming national elections. The appointment comes as quite a surprise, as Della Rossa has so far only been in the second row.

Although Della Rossa has built up a reputation as an active local politician in his home town of Bludenz, he has so far been little known in the rest of Vorarlberg. This is likely to end quickly, as he will now become the face of the Ländle-Sozis for the upcoming national elections. Regional leader Mario Leiter, also from Bludenz, is certain that the extended party executive has made a good choice: "We are convinced that Antonio Della Rossa is the right choice to represent the concerns of our region at national level. His commitment to the community and his professional expertise are exactly what we need for a fairer and more cohesive Austria."

Antonio Della Rossa was born in Feldkirch in 1982 and has been politically active at various levels for 27 years - the political science graduate is currently SPÖ city party chairman and city representative in Bludenz. Professionally, Della Rossa was active in youth work for a long time and has been working as a freelance political consultant for a year now. "My aim is to make Vorarlberg's voice strong in the National Council and to draw the necessary attention to the challenges facing our federal state. I stand for solidarity, social justice and a cultural policy that benefits everyone," says the passionate musician.

Martina Dell-Osbel follows in second place on the list. While a place in the National Council is very realistic for Della Rosse, the Bregenz native only has a theoretical chance - in order for her to enter parliament, the SPÖ would have to achieve a sensational election result of well over 20 percent in Vorarlberg.
