Restaurant opening
New addition to the Würstelprater: Beisl with a top view
The Wurstelprater has a new addition: a typical Viennese restaurant has opened its doors. With a view of the Zwergerlbahn and the Giant Ferris Wheel, guests can fortify themselves here.
Shortly before the start of the season, the Prater welcomes a new addition. Restaurateur Soufian Tabib, owner of Gösser Eck, has opened another restaurant directly behind the Zwergerlbahn in the Prater. The opening ceremony of "Das Beisl im Prater" took place last week with prominent guests such as cathedral priest Toni Faber and Prater President Silvia Lang. The "Krone" was also on site and spoke to the boss.
"Wanted to open an original Viennese pub"
How did he come up with the idea for the new restaurant? "I wanted to open a traditional Viennese pub, like the ones that used to be on every corner of the city," says Soufian Tabib. But a pub with taste, because there is even a rooftop terrace where guests can now enjoy the spring weather. And the spacious guest garden also offers plenty of space for hungry and thirsty guests.
"Quality prevails"
But isn't this the worst possible time to open a restaurant? "Times aren't easy for us restaurateurs," admits the 55-year-old. But he is convinced that if you offer guests quality, they will come. One problem is still finding staff. "I'm very lucky with my permanent team, but I also pay them accordingly," says the restaurant owner. Classic Viennese cuisine is served on the plates.
