Affair, butt surgery, coma:
Palace responds to the wild rumors surrounding Kate
Kensington Palace has responded to the wild rumors circulating on social media about Princess Kate because she has completely disappeared from the public eye for two months and there is actually still no sign of life from her.
Prince William's wife has not been seen since December 25, 2023, Christmas Day. On that day, she attended the Christmas service in Sandringham with her children and the royal family.
On January 16, she then underwent a surprise operation in a private clinic in London. It was probably a very difficult abdominal operation that was planned at short notice. Her long hospital stay of almost two weeks and the several months of convalescence speak for this.
No photo, only rumors
The palace is keeping quiet about the princess's diagnosis - and unlike King Charles, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment, the 42-year-old has not posted any photos or other personal messages on her social media accounts.
This has now given rise to the wildest suspicions. William had an affair with the secretary, Kate was in a coma, she had a bigger bottom done, the royal family wanted to hide a nervous breakdown. There is no limit to the imagination on X and Co.
Palace responds with a rebuke
Now the palace has reacted. But possibly not as desired, for example with a photo of the convalescent, but with a kind of rebuke. A royal spokesperson said: "Kensington Palace clarified the timeframe for the Princess's recovery in January and stated that we will only release information if there are significant developments. We stand by this policy."
And again the announcement that the Princess of Wales is still "doing well". She plans to return to royal engagements after Easter.
William makes it a little more subtle
At a meeting with Holocaust survivors at the Western Marble Arch Synagogue on Thursday, Prince William also subtly made it clear that he and his wife were still living together, she was not in a coma and should be mentally fine, cleverly incorporating her name into his speech: "Prejudice has no place in society ... Catherine and I are very concerned about the rise in anti-Semitism that you spoke about earlier today and I am very sorry if any of you have had to experience it."
William probably wanted to show that Kate is currently undergoing rehabilitation after an operation, but is still following world events in her right mind.
The Prince's visit was originally scheduled to coincide with Holocaust Memorial Day in February, but had to be postponed due to the Princess of Wales' abdominal surgery.
