West: Kim should take children out of “fake school”
Since their bumpy separation in 2021 and divorce in 2022, US rapper Kanye West and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian have repeatedly argued about the education of their four children. Now the rapper has publicly begged his ex-wife to take their children out of the "wrong school for celebrities".
"Kim take my kids out of Sierra Canyon, now it's a fake school for celebrities being exploited by the 'system'," West wrote angrily in capital letters on Instagram on Wednesday night.
He captioned the bizarre post, "At this point everyone knows what 'system' is the code word for. The system has separated me from my father and the system has removed me from my children.
He continued, "When the system selects athletes, they avoid working with those who have their father in their lives because they are harder to manipulate." "My oldest two know they have a father," the "All Falls Down" hitmaker added, trying to justify his claim.
Kim increased security measures for her children
The four children attend Sierra Canyon School full-time, but previously had extracurricular activities at West's now-closed Donda Academy - a private Christian school the rapper opened in 2022 and named after his late mother, Donda West. Although Kanye West doesn't agree with all of his ex-wife's parenting methods, he has already admitted that the Skims founder looks after her children "80 percent of the time".
The musician's past escapades have led to major friction between the ex-couple in recent years. During West's public outbursts in 2022, Kardashian even increased security measures for her children. The mother of four hired extra security guards to watch over her children's private school at the time, but clarified that it wasn't to protect her children from their father, but because the "Heartless" singer revealed the school's name.
West is not willing to "compromise"
In September 2022, the "All of the Lights" rapper said he and Kardashian had a "good conversation" about their children's education. However, it seems that any progress the former couple had made has stalled, as West told Tucker Carlson that he's not willing to "compromise" when it comes to education.
"All they're doing is taking all the celebrities' kids and putting them in the same school," the rapper said of his children's current school, claiming the administration is trying to "influence" them. He added: "Right now we've come to a compromise - but I'm not done because I don't compromise - but we've come to a compromise that my kids come to my school after school and learn choir."
The exes, who have been divorced since 2021, have four children together: North (10), Saint (8) Chicago (6) and Psalm (4). Since their rocky split, the two have been arguing about how to raise their children.
