German TV stations have published an investigative report on the "abuse of power in the cultural sector", which is why the big tremors are now beginning in the Austrian actor and director scene. Because the documentary also makes serious accusations against two red-white-red celebrities!

"Against Silence" - that is the telling title of a joint investigation by public broadcasters in our neighboring country. In the spotlight of the investigative documentary: insults, humiliation, violence and sexual assault in the sometimes dark world behind the camera and behind the scenes. Apparently, a climate of fear prevails in many productions. The documentary has been available on the Internet since Tuesday, even before it was broadcast on TV.

The rumor mill in the Austrian cultural scene had been buzzing recently due to the sensitive topic. In addition to German stars such as those from the series "4 Blocks", serious allegations were also made against two well-known personalities from Austria.

Acting allegations against two directors
In fact, the award-winning Graz-based screenwriter and director Julian Pölsler and the stage madman Paulus Manker have come under the spotlight. Dozens of actors (there are also affidavits) speak of verbal abuse, shouting, unpleasant touching and nude casting of young women. Theater maker Manker announces a lawsuit for defamation of character. Pölsler also defends himself.

However, there are also crumbs for Manker on another legal level. Rants by the "Alma" director on the occasion of the forced eviction - as reported by the "Krone" - of the Südbahnhotel am Semmering in several ORF broadcast formats were eagerly collected by hotel owner Christian Zeller and yesterday his lawyer filed a private complaint with the Vienna Regional Court for Criminal Matters.

When asked by Krone, Manker also sees this as a "war of extermination" against his person. However, he stands by his statement that Zeller is a "psychopath".
