Now the Freedom Party is pushing into government as the strongest force. Krone+ took a look at Herbert Kickl's followers, who will hold the levers of power in the future.

He made this clear once again after his success in the National Council elections at the end of September, when he associated a possible FPÖ chancellor exclusively with his name. All other FPÖ politicians know that Kickl is the main reason for the broad blue support among the population. All electoral successes can be attributed to Kickl's rhetorical skills and targeted choice of topics. The air is thin behind Kickl. His only national, internal rival, who has been well received by voters in recent years, has now been sidelined:
