Trump even posts fake picture of Taylor Swift

Apparently Donald Trump hasn't realized that Taylor Swift doesn't think much of him. Now he is even using a fake picture of the singer to win votes ...

On Sunday (local time), the ex-president shared a fake poster on his online service Truth Social in which the singer calls on her followers to vote for Trump. Swift or those close to her have not yet issued a statement.

A post by the Republican candidate on Truth Social on Sunday showed Swift dressed in red, white and blue with the caption "Taylor Swift Wants You To Vote For Donald Trump". "I accept!" wrote Trump. Other obviously manipulated images showed women in T-shirts with the caption "Swifties for Trump".

Some of the images were created using artificial intelligence (AI), according to experts. The singer's poster was either "AI-generated or simply classically manipulated", said digital forensics expert at the University of California, Hany Farid, to the AFP news agency. Trump's post is "particularly insidious" because at least one of the fan pictures actually looks real, he added.

Trump repeatedly criticized, campaigned for Biden
Swift herself has not yet publicly backed Donald Trump or Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. However, she has repeatedly criticized Trump in the past and campaigned for current US President Joe Biden ahead of the 2020 presidential election. She also campaigns for abortion rights and LGBTQ rights, where LGBTQ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer.

Harris is to be officially nominated as the candidate for 2024 at the Democratic Party convention in Chicago this week. Swift also criticized Trump in a 2020 documentary. Although the singer has yet to publicly declare her support, tens of thousands of her fans have already spoken out in favor of the Democratic candidate. The "Swifties for Kamala" page has tens of thousands of subscribers on online services such as X (formerly Twitter), Facebook and Instagram. Similar pages also exist under the name "Swifties for Trump" - albeit with significantly fewer followers.
