Kirchtag is coming soon: the countdown in Villach is on

From Sunday, the Drau town will be buzzing again for a whole week! Many culinary and musical highlights await, 611 artists and 209 exhibitors will ensure the best atmosphere. 

The clubs and restaurateurs have been working at full speed for weeks now - because in four days' time, the time has come again: with the Holy Mass and the traditional beer tapping by the mayor, the Villach Kirchtag, Austria's largest traditional festival with a total of around 450,000 visitors, starts on Sunday for the 79th time.

The 6th season in Villach
From July 28 to August 4, Villach hosts a week of music (611 artists), dancing, celebrating, eating and drinking (209 exhibitors). And if you want, you can get an adrenaline kick on the rides. Or simply take a relaxing spin on the Ferris wheel. It's the 6th season (after carnival) in the Drau town - and the perfect occasion to wear a dirndl or lederhosen.
