Schilling apologizes to ORF presenter Thür

For weeks, Lena Schilling denied the accusation that she had only invented an affair with ORF presenter Martin Thür. But now things have apparently gotten too hot for her. According to reports, an injunction against the Green politician has already been prepared. Schilling has now issued a notarized statement. In it, the politician states that there was no affair.

In the protocol in question, which is available to Der Standard, Schilling writes, among other things, that she "gave the false impression to third parties that I had an affair with Martin Thür". She regrets this and will refrain from doing so in future.

Thür had already demanded such a statement from Schilling via his lawyer during the EU election campaign - without success. The ORF star emphasized that he knew the former climate activist neither personally nor digitally. For Thür, the matter is apparently settled with the statement that has now been made.
