Cow fell on mountain pasture owner: serious injuries

On Saturday afternoon in Millstatt, a cow suddenly fell onto the foot of a 72-year-old man, who had to be flown to Villach Regional Hospital by the rescue helicopter team.

On the Riegelalm in the municipality of Millstatt, a 72-year-old mountain pasture operator and a 31-year-old farmer were driving a cow into the barn there on Saturday afternoon. This went without any problems or incidents.

After a short stay in the barn, the cow suddenly fell on the 72-year-old farmer's foot for unknown reasons, causing him to suffer a serious leg injury.

After receiving initial medical treatment, he was flown by rescue helicopter to Villach Regional Hospital.
