New café fulfills sweetest dreams with lots of cream
Sweetness follows sweetness: until recently, the premises at Mozartstraße 14 were home to Royal Donuts, a café serving sumptuous calorie bombs. Now "Black & Sugar" has moved in. A café that not only enchants those with a sweet tooth with its special tarts and eclairs - some of which are also gluten-free and vegan.
"My dream has always been to have my own little cake factory," reveals "Black & Sugar" branch manager Serap in an interview with the Krone. "Especially one that also offers gluten-free and vegan delicacies."
Pâtissier creates sinful creations
Ex-husband Yildirim Deniz, who runs the two Oliva stores in Plus City and Lentia as well as the bistro in Waldbad Pasching, helped to make the dream come true. And, above all, pastry chef Seyfettin Demir, who has already worked internationally - in Florida, for example - and is responsible for the many sinful creations at "Black & Sugar". The small but exquisite café at Mozartstraße 14, which until recently was home to "Royal Donuts", is already an insider tip on social media. And rightly so?
"Black & Sugar" convinced
The "Krone" did the test - "Black & Sugar" was convincing: every mini tartlet and every éclair is a tasty work of art in its own right, the "San Sebastian" cheesecake is a stunner. As already mentioned, there are also vegan and gluten-free creations, and if you want to buy a whole cake, you can order it with the design and filling of your choice.
Although it's hard to decide anyway due to the large selection, Serap reveals: "We will be expanding the range."
