Couple in court
Marital dispute with pizza throw and vacuum cleaner cable
A 33-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman in the district of Kitzbühel came to blows in a cinematic manner. Now, at the provincial court trial for the mutual attacks, things were more conciliatory.
Peacefully united and chatting, the couple sat in the corridor by the courtroom on Thursday before the trial began. Months ago, it looked completely different: The man allegedly beat his wife with a belt buckle and a vacuum cleaner cable, for example, and also threw hot pizza at her.
The wife - the second defendant in court - was also not much inferior to her partner: she slapped her husband several times and pinched his genitals, among other things.
Almost marital harmony in front of the judge
During the trial before Judge Heide Maria Paul, there were no flashes of hatred or violence. "We have to deal with this as adults and look to the future," said the first defendant. And the second defendant also wanted to make peace - partly because of their two children.
We have to deal with this as adults and look to the future. And we will now see how our relationship can continue.
Der Erstangeklagte beim Prozess
The 33-year-old explained that they will now "see what happens next". In any case, they are currently living separately and the children are with his wife. However, there has already been a first rapprochement.
Fines paid from joint account
As they still have a joint account, they paid the fines (diversion without punishment) directly at the regional court, almost in intimate togetherness. The man had to pay 550 euros after his outbursts, his wife 150 euros.
