Since Monday, detailed results of the Gswb audit have been available in a 167-page report by the inspection office. They confirm some of the fears regarding the treatment of tenants.

The more than 160-page report by the Audit Office on Salzburg's largest non-profit housing association Gswb has arrived - and it raises many questions about the company's business practices, for example: Why have some of the recommendations made by the provincial audit office in 2017 still not been implemented, why is there no code of conduct? It also criticizes the fact that the often-maligned ticket system for customer inquiries does not actually record all inquiries and therefore needs to be fundamentally revised.

"When the report is on the agenda of the Control Committee on April 15, Gswb Director Rassaerts will have to answer questions. As long as he is in office and receives a princely salary, that is his job," demands the new Deputy Mayor Kay Dankl (KPÖ Plus). It should not happen, as once happened with a critical audit report on Salzburg AG, that an important ex-manager like Leonhard Schitter simply does not want to find the time to answer questions.

Ingeborg Haller (Citizens' List) says: "The fact that the audit of a company owned by the city and province is proving to be so difficult is an absolute no-go for us!"
