Drunk truck driver rammed into bridge railing

A spectacular accident occurred on Tuesday between Lustenau and Hohenems in Vorarlberg. The driver of a truck lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a bridge railing. 

A drunk female truck driver caused some damage to property and endangered road users on the L203 between Lustenau and Hohenems on Tuesday afternoon. As reported by the police, the driver of a Czech truck drove into the opposing lane, according to eyewitnesses.

Witnesses wanted
In an attempt to steer in the opposite direction, she then crashed into the road marker posts and finally tore an entire bridge railing several meters away. The police are looking for witnesses to the incident.

Severe damage
After the collision with the bridge, the truck came to a halt. It was so badly damaged that it had to be towed away and one side of the road had to be closed for over two hours. The bridge railing and the road marker posts were totaled.
