This is what the ESC song sounds like
Sexy Kaleen seduces in hot “We Will Rave” clip
Austria's Kaleen wants to score points at the 68th Song Contest in Malmö in May with cool beats and lots of sex appeal. Her ESC hit "We Will Rave" celebrated its premiere on Friday.
The song was already presented on Thursday at the Ronacher in Vienna, but it was only on Friday morning that "We Will Rave" celebrated its big premiere on Ö3's "Wecker" program.
Video impresses with lots of bare skin
And the accompanying video clip is also pretty hot. It was filmed in Los Angeles at the beginning of February. Behind the camera was none other than star photographer Rankin, who has already worked with Heidi Klum and Kate Moss. No wonder that the result was an exciting video with a Kaleen in the "Matrix" look and lots of naked skin.
Rankin had "previously photographed the cover for 'We Will Rave'", Kaleen revealed - and laughed: "The rainy, cold weather captured the atmosphere perfectly on the day of filming."
Almost twelve hours were spent shooting on five different sets in a warehouse, the singer continued. "The video is intended to capture the dark, ecstatic yet positive energy of the song and encourage people to join in the celebrations and surrender to the music."
"My perfect ESC song"
Musically, Austria is going for a real disco hit with cool beats this year with "We Will Rave". "'We Will Rave' is my perfect ESC song. I have the opportunity to bring everything I love into this performance and go full throttle together with the audience," enthused Kaleen.
She continued: "The song should be adaptable for everyone - be it as We Will Dance, We Will Sing, We Will Live, We Will Party ... It embodies strength and positivity, even in moments of vulnerability." Her aim is to "empower others to embrace life and lose themselves in the music. I'm looking forward to sharing the song with my fans."
The song was penned by a Danish-Swedish team, some of whose members were behind ESC icons such as Loreen and Emmelie de Forest - a real guarantee of success!
Hot stage performance a là Fischer
Kaleen also has big plans for the stage show at the Song Contest. An international team will be responsible for the stage choreography. "There will be an extreme dance performance - Austria has never done that before," said ORF program director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz, making ESC fans' mouths water in advance - and revealed: "This is high-performance sport. Apart from Kaleen, only Helene Fischer can do that."
Kaleen, who was born in Ried im Traunkreis in Upper Austria, is almost an ESC veteran, having worked behind the scenes for the mega event in various roles since 2016. Above all, the trained singer has been a successful dancer to date, with more than 100 national and European championship and five world championship titles to her name.
She has also worked as a choreographer for formats such as the ORF casting show "Starmania". The stage business is probably in Marie-Sophie Kreissl's blood, as she comes from a show family. Her grandmother is the folk music star Hanneliese Kreissl-Wurth.
Kaleen competes in the second semi-final
The 68th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö starts on May 7 with the first semi-final, followed by the second semi-final on May 9, in which Austria will compete for a ticket to the final.
Is the 29-year-old Upper Austrian getting excited just a few months before the Song Contest? "I know the world of the stage well and I know what kind of train is rolling towards me," Kaleen assured us.
