Two missing girls found in drug house

The search for a missing 13-year-old girl took an abrupt turn on Monday evening when police officers wanted to check a detached house in Klagenfurt. 

Officers from two patrols of the Ferlach police station smelled a strong odor of cannabis when they checked a detached house in Klagenfurt in search of a missing 13-year-old girl. The police officers were astonished when they entered the house with the permission of the tenant - a 49-year-old Slovenian.

Not only was there an artificial cannabis plantation inside, they also found four people "smoking pot". But that wasn't all: "The wanted missing girl and another missing minor (14) were found in the attic of the house," the officers describe the curious operation.

Narcotics and paraphernalia were found on all those present - including the two girls - as well as foreign documents and misappropriated cell phones. The owner of the house suddenly became aggressive during the operation and attacked the police officers, which is why he was arrested.

When the two girls each attacked a police officer, the handcuffs clicked for them too. "The underage 13-year-old was handed over to her mother after the facts of the case were established and the arrest was lifted," the police explain the further procedure. However, a total of three officers were slightly injured during the operation: "During the arrest of the 14-year-old, two officers suffered minor injuries due to the fierce resistance", it is reported. The third officer was injured by the owner of the house.

All of them have been released.
