Another incomprehensible bloody deed within a few days! In the chamois town of Kitzbühel, a mother (48) killed her five-year-old boy and then took her own life. Bad memories of Leoben are reawakened.

A multi-family house in a tranquil location in the north of the world-famous Gamsstadt. It is the nation's most exclusive ski resort. What is said to have taken place there on Tuesday behind closed doors makes even hardened police officers shudder and is keeping the homicide investigators of the Tyrol State Criminal Police Office busy.

It is around 1:45 p.m. when a gruesome discovery is made in an apartment on the first floor of the building. A five-year-old boy and his 48-year-old mother are found dead there. According to the police, both are Austrian citizens. An acquaintance of the woman raised the alarm because the 48-year-old could no longer be reached. Emergency services immediately went to the address of the woman and her son.

After the door was opened, everyone was shocked: the little boy was lying dead on the floor, and his mother had apparently killed herself. According to information from "Krone," the woman hanged herself. The police have ruled out foul play in the woman's death. Based on the findings at the scene, there is no evidence to suggest otherwise.

There are no indications of foul play in the mother's case. As far as we know, the woman lived alone with her son in the apartment.

Autopsy to shed light on cause of death
The criminal investigation department has ordered an autopsy of the child's body in Kitzbühel. How the boy was killed is still unclear on Tuesday evening. According to current findings, the mother and child are believed to have lived alone in the apartment. Unremarkable, courteous.

Change of scene to Leoben: There is sad certainty about the death of Samuel, who died far too young. The little boy was just eleven years old. His mother (39), who was in a "state of mental distress," is said to have killed him with a kitchen knife in the living room of the family apartment. She then tried to take her own life. She did not succeed. Her child is dead, she is alive and locked up in a cell. After her arrest, she is said to have made a statement: "The boy was possessed by the devil!"
