At first glance, the suspicious man did not appear to have a firearm. During a search, the Vienna police found a chest holster with a gas pistol and a loaded magazine containing steel bullets under his jacket.

Displayed weapon on purpose
Witnesses reported that the man repeatedly opened his jacket to deliberately display the weapon. According to the witnesses, there was no actual threat.

The 39-year-old Finnish man, who was heavily intoxicated, was provisionally banned from carrying weapons and a charge of disturbing public order was filed. The gas pistol was confiscated by the police.
