Cher reveals a juicy fact in her memoirs: she lost her virginity at 14 - during "revenge sex" with a neighbor's son.

The 78-year-old pop icon has spoken about her early years in California in her new book "Cher: The Memoir, Part One", revealing that she decided to "lend" her virginity to this particular lad after he treated her "like an embarrassing child" in front of his friends.

"An Italian family on our street had a cute son who was a senior in high school," Cher wrote. "He spent his weekends working on his hot rod while I handed him tools. Then he came into my room, we kissed, he wanted me to hold his other tool and I said no. I liked his black roadster better than him."

She was already thinking about sex at the time, just like all the other girls at her school, for whom it was the number one topic of conversation. 

In the end, however, she did have sex with "the neighbor" - but only for one reason: to get revenge on him because he had dumped her on an outing with his buddies.

"The neighbor was sweet enough when we were alone, but as soon as his friends came over, he treated me like an embarrassing child," the pop icon continued. "One day, when his buddies suggested a trip to Bob's Big Boy, he said: 'Okay, let me get Cher.' They laughed and said: 'Do you want to take the kid?' And he dropped me."

A horrible moment, according to Cher. "I was so hurt when he did that. I had revenge sex with him. I didn't really want to or I would have done it one of the other five hundred times he asked me to."

"Massively overrated experience"
But she admitted that the big moment was a "massively overrated experience": "I asked him: 'Is this it? Are we done?' Then I told him to go home and never come back. I wanted him to feel as rejected as he had made me feel."

She also remained consistent in this regard, according to Cher: "Although he kept trying to make amends, I never spoke to him again. At school, I told my friends that the 'thing' they kept talking about wasn't a big deal and that they should keep kissing."
