In eleven days' time, the Austrian team will be in the thick of things at the European Championship finals in Germany. The official farewell ceremony for the ÖFB team will take place today in front of the Hofburg Palace in Vienna. The political leaders are backing the team, but they also know that the group stage will not be a walk in the park.

"Krone" key handover, pure optimism
Even before Federal President Alexander van der Bellen, Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer and Vice-Chancellor and Sports Minister Werner Kogler take the floor, the symbolic handover of the keys to the ÖFB team bus takes place.
