"Numerous benefits"
Magna: Austrian Post now offers new jobs to laid-off employees
Österreichische Post AG is responding to the job cuts at Magna and is offering new jobs in Styria to employees who have been made redundant. Those affected can apply online.
Austrian Post is currently offering around 100 vacancies in Styria, for example in the logistics centers, delivery, IT and other areas. All vacancies and application options can be found directly at: karriere.post.at
This is how Austrian Post wants to attract interested parties
"In addition to a fair salary, Austrian Post offers its employees numerous benefits," it says in a press release. These include meal vouchers worth EUR 400 per year for restaurants and supermarkets, a free bank99 employee account, financial participation in the company's success, Post vacation homes throughout Austria with discounted conditions for vacations, numerous training and further education opportunities as well as company health promotion.
Currently 12,500 vacancies in Styria
Karl-Heinz Snobe, Managing Director of the Styrian AMS, is optimistic that many of the 500 or so Magna employees who have been made redundant will soon find a new job.
After all, there are currently 12,500 vacancies on the Styrian labor market. "In the production sector alone, there are currently 1,500 vacancies across Styria - in the greater Graz area, we certainly have a total of 2,500 interesting job offers for Magna employees in the system."
He also assumes that a third of the Magna employees facing redundancy come from Slovenia and are therefore not part of the Styrian labor market. "Commuters have to register as unemployed in their home country."
