Commander denounced
“Election campaign battles” now even in the fire department
Now even the fire department is caught up in the maelstrom of the Vösendorf election campaign. Serious allegations have been made against the commander. He is said to have injured a comrade and has therefore been reported to the police. The dispute is also said to have been about political attitudes.
Investigations by public prosecutors, reports and strong words: the early municipal council election in Vösendorf in the district of Mödling resembled a mud fight. Now there is another facet to it. This time the focus is on fire department commander Amang Hajo. He was charged with assault. He is said to have grabbed a colleague by the neck and tried to push him down the stairs.
The comrade was standing in his own urine, insulting me and verbally abusing me. When he came towards me, I kept him at a distance and just led him past me, tearing his T-shirt in the process.

The argument was allegedly triggered by political motives. You have to know that: Hajo is also the head of the economic court and is considered a close confidant of Mayor Hannes Koza. Among other things, he had himself photographed on an election poster with the ÖVP local leader. The commander is said to be controversial within the fire department.
Since the complaint was made, the furor has been particularly intense on social media platforms. Both the alleged perpetrator and his victim have spoken out themselves. "The commander accused me of working against him. Then he became extremely aggressive and grabbed me," says the affected firefighter.
"Slandered for political reasons"
Hajo, who could not be reached by the "Krone" on request, considers himself "severely slandered for political reasons. I didn't strangle or push anyone. The comrade in question was heavily intoxicated and attacked me. The accusations are made up."
We were not very drunk in the ready room. A comrade present intervened after he grabbed me. When he let go of me, he tried to kick me down the stairs.

Mayor Koza and district fire brigade commander Michael Bruckmüller do not want to go into the allegations in detail. "But they are certainly known," they both emphasize. Bruckmüller also asks that party politics not be allowed to enter the fire stations.
