Wrong-way driver without a license and drunk

A 47-year-old man really did everything wrong when driving his car. Without a driver's license, in the wrong direction, on drugs and drunk.

In the early hours of Thursday evening, police officers on patrol in the Kaisermühlen tunnel on the A22 motorway noticed a driver driving in an unsafe manner. The driver changed lanes several times without using his blinker, thereby endangering other road users.

On the Brigittenauer Brücke access ramp, the driver suddenly turned around and continued driving against the prescribed direction. The officers stopped him immediately.

During the investigation, it emerged that the man, a 47-year-old stateless man, did not have a valid driver's license. An alcohol test also revealed a blood alcohol concentration of just under one per mille. The 47-year-old admitted to having consumed addictive substances, but refused to undergo a medical examination.

The drunk driver was not allowed to continue driving and several charges were filed for violations of administrative regulations.
