Driver fled after accident with the help of mother
Two cars collided with each other in Radenthein, Carinthia on Tuesday. One of the drivers was driving an unregistered car and without a driver's license. And as if that wasn't enough, he simply made off with the help of his mother after the crash.
A 22-year-old from the district of Spittal turned from Millstätter Straße onto Hauptstraße in Radenthein on Tuesday. In doing so, he collided with a car without a license plate that was not registered for traffic and was being driven by a 42-year-old Slovenian.
Picked up by mother
Although both drivers stopped immediately, they did not come to an agreement, whereupon the Slovenian drove to a nearby parking lot, where he parked the car. "There he got into the car with his mother as a passenger and the two drove off. The 22-year-old then informed the police, who were able to stop mother and son a short time later in the course of an immediately initiated manhunt in Afritz am See," said the police.
A breathalyzer test was carried out on both drivers involved, which showed that the 22-year-old was slightly intoxicated. The Slovenian, on the other hand, does not have a driver's license. Both men were prohibited from continuing their journey and will be reported to the police.
