Urgent application to court
Extremist Sellner defends himself against entry ban
The Austrian right-wing extremist Martin Sellner is now taking legal action against his entry ban to Germany. An urgent application has been submitted to the Potsdam Administrative Court. However, there are no indications of urgency, it was stated on Tuesday.
According to the spokesperson, there is a two-week deadline for comments. As reported, the city of Potsdam banned Sellner from entering or staying in Germany last week. In detail, this means that the federal police can now refuse him entry at the border and that entry can also have criminal consequences.
Ban "absurd"
The Austrian has now filed an urgent appeal against his entry ban and is calling on Platform X to donate money for the legal dispute. According to him, the ban is "absurd" and he would now comment on and quote posts.

Court: "Not urgent"
According to the court, however, the urgent application is not urgent. The deadline for comments is two weeks. Sellner is a leading figure in the far-right "Identitarian Movement" in German-speaking countries.
According to research by the Correctiv network, he was one of the speakers at the Potsdam secret meeting of AfD members and right-wing extremists in November 2023. At that time, the mass expulsion of people with a migration background from Germany is said to have been discussed.
