Climber (29) fell around 50 meters in Tyrol

Serious climbing accident late Friday afternoon in Innsbruck: A 29-year-old Bulgarian fell around 50 meters and suffered serious injuries. He was flown to the Innsbruck hospital.

Shortly after 5 p.m., the 29-year-old wanted to climb in the "Mühlauer Klamm" climbing and bouldering area. However, the man fell around 50 meters over steep, impassable terrain and sustained serious injuries.

Mountain rescue provided first aid
The Bulgarian was given first aid on site by the mountain rescue team. "He was then taken to Innsbruck Hospital by emergency helicopter", according to the police.
