Employee broke into his own employer’s home

Police in Kitzbühel, Tyrol, have tracked down a suspected burglar. The 32-year-old man is said to have stolen two safes containing gold jewelry and money worth tens of thousands of euros from a restaurant in the Gamsstadt on Tuesday. But not in just any bar: the suspect works there.

The burglary was reported to the police on Tuesday morning. According to initial findings, two safes containing several tens of thousands of euros and gold jewelry were missing. Suspicions were quickly confirmed against a 32-year-old employee of the pub.

The man allowed the officers to voluntarily inspect his apartment in Kitzbühel, and the police found what they were looking for: They were able to recover and return all the stolen goods.

During initial questioning, the suspect confessed. He will be charged at large.
