Hans Schabus calls his intervention in Fischer von Erlach's Salzburg Kollegienkirche "Inner Landscape".

"The carpets are everywhere. They are long and narrow like runners, representing paths that we all bring with us and continue to walk. Basically, this raises questions for society: What is the individual? What is the community? How do we meet each other?" says Schabus.

This is made possible by focusing on the interior through a new foundation of colored carpet panels. The art installation can be seen until April 9.

The work celebrates 20 years of the "Kardinal König Art Prize". Schabus was the first to receive this prestigious award in 2005.
