At St. Stephen's Square
Activists remember Hamas rapes
At a demonstration in Vienna on Tuesday, activists called for the "immediate unconditional release of all Hamas hostages". They also recalled the Israeli women brutally raped by the terrorists. Around 70 people gathered at Stephansplatz, including members of the Jewish Community (IKG).
14 activists wore gray jogging pants with blood-red paint on the crotch and an adhesive strip over their mouths. Their hands were tied together with a rope - in memory of the raped women and hostages like Naama Levy.
The 19-year-old Namaa was shown in a video that went viral, in which a terrorist drags her by her hair out of the trunk of a car and into the back seat. Her hands were tied behind her back and she was bleeding from the eye. There was a large bloodstain on the seat of her gray jogging pants. Naama and many other hostages have been held by Hamas for 128 days.
Some demonstrators presented posters of the kidnapped women. Others handed out flyers with the slogan "Rape is not resistance" to passers-by on the trench.
