Father of a robbed child caught cell phone thief

A thief was on the loose at the Lieferinger bathing lake in Salzburg in the early evening hours of September 5. The Pole stole several cell phones from minors, but was then caught by the father of a child who had been robbed.

The 39-year-old had stolen five cell phones and some swimming gear. The father of one of the children then found the thief using a cell phone locator and was able to detain him until the police arrived.

Transferred to Puch-Urstein
All the victims were given their property back, the Pole was arrested and taken to Puch-Urstein prison. Police investigations into several shopliftings are currently underway.
