Over 200 km/h on the highway – car impounded

A Croatian living in Graz raced along the southern highway at more than 200 km/h on Friday evening - the man was finally stopped near Gleisdorf. He has now lost his driver's license and car.

Shortly after 8 p.m., a police patrol on the southern freeway (A2) at kilometer 165.6 noticed a car driving at a very high speed. The officers took up the pursuit, their speedometer showing a speed of more than 200 km/h. They were finally able to overtake and stop the speeding car at the Gleisdorf West exit.

The driver, a 31-year-old Croatian living in Graz, had his driver's license confiscated and his car was also provisionally impounded. The man will of course also be charged.
