Truck triggers hazardous goods alarm in the Tauern Tunnel

The fire departments from Zederhaus and Flachau responded to a dangerous goods alarm in the Tauern Tunnel on Friday morning. 

The alarm was received at around eight o'clock in the morning on Friday. The surveillance cameras showed that a hazardous goods tanker truck was parked across the lanes. However, no liquid was leaking. 

As the situation was still unclear at first, only one vehicle from Zederhaus drove to the scene of the supposed accident. Other emergency crews waited at the tunnel portals.

It turned out that there had been no accident, but that the driver needed medical assistance. The Red Cross treated the man.
