2000 young trees for the Karlolingerwäldchen

In August 2023, a storm almost completely destroyed the scout forest in Karolingerstraße - known as Karolingerwäldchen. Oaks, maples and co.: around 100 old trees fell victim to the storm. A major reforestation project has now been launched together with the City of Salzburg's forestry department.

 "A total of 2000 tree seedlings will be planted on our property," said Eva Pfeiffer, the group leader of the Maxglan scouts, happily. The trees planted were mainly wind-resistant plants.

The Karolingerwäldchen, which covers an area of around 1.4 hectares, has been used by the Maxglan scouts for their active outdoor scouting activities for around 50 years.
