He was annoyed about red and cheered about titles
Stefan Milenkovic was considered one of the best technicians in the Tyrolean lower division. He recently retired from coaching at Union Innsbruck. But the 34-year-old is far from tired. At the weekend, he was annoyed by his exclusion on Friday and delighted with his third futsal title on Sunday.

First coach red
Admittedly: It hadn't started soooo well on Friday evening in Umhausen. Apart from the important 1:0 victory of his Union Innsbruck team in the Tyrolean league in Ötztal. But coach Milenkovic was shown a yellow card in the 83rd minute. He had illegally entered the pitch when one of his players was injured. His first exclusion as a coach, but not his first with referee Patrick Elsler. Well, coincidences do happen...
The championship hat-trick
48 hours later, Stefan was the hero anyway. In Linz. Because that's when the 34-year-old became futsal champion for the third time in his career! His team Diamant Linz defeated FC Ljuti Krajisnici 2:1 in the second game of the best-of-three series for the Austrian Futsal Championship, which meant Milenkovic's third futsal title with his third team. 2014 with Schwaz, 2022 with Fortuna Wr. Neustadt, now as Diamant. No one has ever achieved the championship hat-trick.
Champions in front of 1500 spectators, in an inspiring atmosphere - that was a real dream! And we also qualified for the Champions League in futsal.

Rejection of the national team
"In front of 1500 spectators with a super atmosphere. It was a real dream," he cheered. Stefan only had to cancel the national futsal team. As a Union coach, futsal champion kicker, husband and office manager, Milenkovic is slowly but surely running out of time. "Yes," he nods with a grin, "I like to be on my feet 24 hours a day."
